Rye Harbour & Pett Levels - 30th December
A cold, clear and sunny day at Rye Harbour with excellent viewing conditions. Plenty of Golden Plover and Wigeon together with Greylag Geese, Brent Geese, Redshank, Coromorant and Little Grebe. An even more amazing sunset back at Bexhill-on-Sea.

Saw a very nice Peregrine at Rock-a-Nore together with the usual Fulmars flying in and out of the cliffs. In the evening a spectacular sunset in Bexhill-on-Sea.

Parkgate Dee Estuary & Burton Mere - 29th November
Some autumn thrushes - Mistle Thrush and Blackbird - feeding on berries and worms. Also a Sparrowhawk seen from one of the hides at Burton Mere together with two Bar-tailed Godwits.

Lake Zurich - 23rd-24th November
Lake Zurich is an excellent location for viewing ducks close up at various points around the lake. The highlights were the Red-crested Pochards with their magnificent plumage. One oddity was an Australian Wood Duck. Lots of Great-crested Grebe, Pochard and Tufted Duck together with Grey Wagtails.

Combe Haven - 15th-17th November
Stonechats never fail to impress and are often seen during a walk through Combe Haven near Bexhill. Plenty of other regulars along the sea-front happy to have their photograph taken.

Rye Harbour - 16th November
A couple of fine looking Egyptian Geese near Castle Water and a fly-by Peregrine. Also from the hide there I saw a Common Gull in amongst the Herring Gulls. Elsewhere at Rye Harbour Little Grebe and Brent Geese. At some points the light was wonderful creating great views.
