River Mersey Didsbury - 12th April

The River Mersey between Didsbury and Parrs Wood is an excellent spot for butterflies and at the moment the Orange Tip is the most common species. They first emerged on the 7th April here and now the numbers are building with >90% male. Occasionally they stop, particularly if some cloud appears, but otherwise they are fast flyers.
