The morning was occupied by a brisk walk up Mount Caburn near Glyndebourne. This is a well known site for Burnt Orchids although I failed to find the area where they grow on this occasion. Most of the butterfly interest was provided by some early 1st brood Wall Browns.

Green-winged Orchids often occur in large numbers and nowhere is this more evident than at the cemetery in Turkey Road in Bexhill. In amongst the gravestones there are hundreds of flowers in bloom at this time of the year.
