As I arrived at Fore Wood RSPB near Crowhurst I met someone who had just seen a White Admiral and gave me good directions which I followed. Lo and behold a male White Admiral appeared where he described and settled low down briefly but at least long enough for a photograph. The Silver-washed Fritillaries were not so obliging, whizzing around in the warm weather. Nearby I also found a Golden-ringed Dragonfly and a Red Admiral as well as several male and female Beautiful Demoiselles.
