My second visit of the summer to Ainsdale and it quickly became clear that the recent fine weather had caused the Dune Helleborines to push on very quickly - most were now in seed unfortunately including the two large plants just on the edge of the dune. However the Green-flowered Helleborines were in flower in several patches throughout the Scots Pine wood together with a single Broad-leaved Helleborine and as usual there were some Grayling flying on the edge of the dunes.
