The surprise today was a late male White-letter Hairstreak which briefly settled on ragwort on the east side of the wood for maybe 10 minutes before disappearing back up into the trees never to return. Other highlights were several Silver-spotted Skippers, a Small Tortoiseshell, Chalkhill Blues and a mating pair of Small Heath.
