By all accounts the colony of Small Pearl-bordered Fritillaries at Park Corner Heath is declining after a poor year in 2020. Today I spent a couple of hours searching the usual site and found 3 individuals which does not bode well for the future. There were none that I could find in Rowland Wood although I did locate a Common Spotted Orchid with a Crab Spider lurking in the flowers waiting for its prey.
